Project Manager
The Wachs Utility Services Project Manager is supported by the entire Wachs Utility Services team and is responsible for the overall planning and execution of one or more water system rehabilitation projects. As such, the Project Manager is responsible for all customer relationships, project personnel, equipment, processes and the delivery of exceptional results. The Project Manager will travel extensively to directly supervise field teams.
Field Supervisor
The Wachs Utility Services Field Supervisor is responsible for the overall planning and execution of valve and fire hydrant survey activities and is responsible for all survey personnel, equipment, processes and the delivery of exceptional results to the customer. Assessment activities include valve and fire hydrant locating, clean out, inspection, testing, exercising, documentation and mapping. The Field Supervisor will manage a team of 18 field personnel and six assessment vehicles and will spend approximately 50% of the time in the field directly supervising operations. The Field Supervisor reports to the Wachs Utility Services Program Manager.
Crew Chief
The Wachs Utility Services Crew Chief is the person who is responsible for the safe, accurate and professional operation and appearance of the crew. The Crew Chief is in charge of the field operation, provides direction to the Operator, and is responsible for the truck and equipment. The Crew Chief executes valve and hydrant operations, maintenance and data collection activities in the field. The Crew Chief reports to the Project Manager.
GIS Technician
The Wachs Utility Services GIS Technician is responsible for accessing, validating and managing the data created by the Program. This position manages the data flow from field data collection to uploading the data in the Program database. Activities include: acquiring maps for field crews, daily downloading Trimble (GPS) units, post processing GPS data, validating data for quality assurance, uploading the data into the Program database and evaluating the data within the database in order to discover trends, problems and opportunities. The GIS Technician reports to the Information Manager.
